Step into the past…
Set on the East side of the Rocky Mountain Front, the Bunkhouse will offer you quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of busy urban life. Surrounded by natural sights and wonders with modern amenities in our fresh rooms, you can explore the Montana wilderness while making the bunkhouse your home away from home.
A love of historic Montana and a passion for preservation of history drove Donna Hartelius to purchase the historic Bunkhouse in 2017. With the changing of owners, a modern, yet historically and period appropriate update was given to the facilities ensuring its enjoyment for future generations. Donna and her husband, Channing, can frequently be found enjoying the Rocky Mountain Front at the Bunkhouse Inn.
Each of our 9 rooms feature decor and accommodations to make your stay as pleasant as possible while still providing you with historical elements and aspects of the original facility which has been standing since 1912.
